By accessing and using this website and participating in Anklemove services (route guides, group rides, programmes), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use this site or services.
2. Use of Site and Services
You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not:
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users or staff
- Post illegal content or spam
- Reverse-engineer or scrape the site
- Use automated tools without permission
- Infringe intellectual property rights
3. Intellectual Property
All content on this site (text, maps, images, guides) is owned by Anklemove or licensed from third parties. You may view and print for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell content without written permission.
4. Educational Disclaimer
Our services provide educational information about cycling routes, group ride organisation, and cycling culture. This content is NOT professional coaching, fitness training, medical advice, or health services. We make no guarantees about fitness outcomes, safety, or results.
You use our routes and services at your own risk. You are responsible for assessing your own fitness, choosing appropriate routes, and ensuring your own safety.
5. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANKLEMOVE IS NOT LIABLE FOR:
- Injuries, accidents, or deaths during rides or use of routes
- Equipment damage or loss
- Indirect, consequential, or punitive damages
- Site interruptions or technical errors
- Inaccuracies in route descriptions or maps
This limitation applies even if we've been advised of potential damages.
6. Participant Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- Your own safety and fitness during cycling activities
- Wearing appropriate safety equipment (helmet, lights, visibility)
- Following all traffic laws and road rules
- Maintaining your bike in safe working condition
- Obtaining your own insurance coverage
- Assessing weather, route difficulty, and hazards
7. Assumption of Risk
Cycling carries inherent risks including injury, accidents, and death. By participating in group rides or using our routes, you acknowledge these risks and voluntarily assume them. You release Anklemove from liability for injuries or damages arising from cycling activities.
8. Terms of Service for Paid Services
Route Guide Packages: Digital downloads are non-refundable once delivered. You may request updates if route information becomes outdated (e.g., road closures).
Structured Programmes: Cancellation by you must be submitted in writing at least 5 business days before the programme start date. Refunds are issued within 14 days. No refunds for cancellations within 5 days of start.
9. Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes arising shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales. Before litigation, you agree to attempt good-faith negotiation with us.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of revised terms. Check this page regularly for updates.
